It really started back in 1982, see the picture. This was not sanctioned Airsoft though. We DID wear eye protection and only allowed 2 pumps of the gun... We called our hits and played as tactically as we could. I used Woodland camo and I had a Vietnam (M-56) H-Harness kit with 4 mag pouches, two canteens, buttpack and a First aid kit. Later I upgraded to a ALICE web kit that employed the exact same as the M-56 kit mentioned earlier. It was Nylon instead of Canvas, this made it lighter and did not wear out as fast. We had great games, sometimes had up to 7 kids...Never got hurt or stupid back in the day, Mom appreciated this.... It was my introduction to the CIVIL AIR PATROL that really made me a gear whore. The United States Air Force would give us all sorts of gear and equipment. From a retired GMC Suburban to ALICE Gear... I spent 5 years in the CAP, gathering as much military gear as I could. All I have now from this era is a few non  fitting uniforms and a cot, which is still used to this day. This planted the gear whore seed...

Enough of that. A bit about me and my "Real" Airsoft career; I got my first Airsoft gun in 2004 and started playing seriously in early 2005 where I met up with the local scene at the time. We were playing at paintball land in Claremore, Ok. My newly acquired Airsoft Elite MP-5 A4 and black tac-vest took me to the "next level of noobalicious"... I rocked the newcomer look for over a year as the MP-5 and Black vest served me well. In late 2005 we moved to another field, Kashistan as it is known now. I discovered more range with a CA AK-74 and went on to acquire a CA M4. I was asked to join the Wolf Brigade with a few others and immediately got into the Russian look as the WB ran Russian Kamysh camouflage. I attended my first "major" OP in 2006, Operation: Beach Front Property, somewhere in Missouri and then, later that year, attended Operation: Night Scorpion where the WB was finally disbanded.

Early on, in my freshman years of playing I was given leadership roles. Whether it be for my awesome Black vest and MP-5 kit or other reasons, I can't be sure...Joking of course.

The first KPA command position just came in haste during the first Invasion and the rest were either offered or were taken from the last win in this position, almost a given that I would lead the KPA Army. I have been the Kashistani Peoples Army (KPA) Commanding officer for 7 major events in two different states. I have commanded armies in the hundreds to victory against invading hordes, and other opposing armies.

In my sophomore years of playing, I settled into one kit that was built around my style of play and used this for years. It was comfortable and familiar. Upon realizing that this mid grade gear does wear down and out I went in search for better, top notch equipment and gear. I went through a few weapons, settling back with a CA M4. This M4 went 120,000+  rounds and 2 ½ years on one build alone!

In my junior years of playing, I found Blackwater Gear and now am a gear whore specifically for this brand. I have almost every piece made by Blackwater in Khaki. It is in my opinion, the best made and fitting gear out there. I own Blackwater Plate Carrier Rigs in Khaki, Multicam and ACU. I will soon acquire these rigs in Black and Ranger Green just to fill out my collection. I own 8 different camouflage uniforms and can also rock a mean PMC and Hadji look as well.

Now, in my senior years, my weapon of choice is a VFC 416 with a crane stock. A System gearbox shell, bore up kit and CA gears make up the internals, all being pushed by a Guarder 110 spring. This gives me the desired 380-390 fps without causing much strain. I like the look of an ACOG and the feel of a vertical front grip and a one point sling to hold it all in place. This is the most solid setup that I have owned to date.

I enjoy designing games that really engage the player in different styles of play. I met up with Frosty during Operation: Beauty Queen where he filled a special role that was needed specifically for this game. We talked a lot and figured out that with our passion for the game and combined talents we could take Airsoft / MilSim in Oklahoma to the next level. Operation: Uprising was that game and the rest is history...
