It started over 4 years ago when a few of my friends talked me into to playing some Paintball. It was Friday night and we were playing Saturday morning so I ran to Wal-Mart and purchased a Tipmann98 custom. Before I knew it I was chin deep in Paint ball gear but it just wasn't filling the void, scratching the itch. The gear the guns, er Markers, were just so...ghey...
Amos Wilder keep on me about stopping by the local Airsoft store, Jungle Toy. They didn't have much but to choose from but ended up selling me on a WE Hi-Cappa. That WE Hi-Cappa was just enough to spark that interest and start scratching that itch, it definitely got me interested. Now it was time for an AEG, that was an A&K S-System from eBay.  I was going non stop to the local army surplus buying load and loads of Condor gear. I must have changed gear 5 times before I played my first game. I will never forget that first day at the local CQB venue. I didn't put my goggles down and got shot about a 1/4 inch from my eye...I have never forgotten to put my eye protection on again. Safety was learned and now practiced every time.

As an Airsoft Freshman during my first day of play at Kashistan, I showed up in Green MARPAT and an OD green vest my bright orange tip of my A&K was shinning bright in the sun. Never a back Tac Vest I wore but the game was none the less interesting. This guy was wearing a full head to toe a white bunny suit, full Plate carrier with Real Plates and was luggin’ around a SAW??? My thoughts were; what was I doing here? Are these people crazy? Still to this day, looking back and remembering the bunny suit scenario that was impromptu set up, it was one of the best games I have ever played. I learned so much that day. There were so much more tactics and team based pay than what I experienced playing paintball. People worked together to achieve a goal not every man running around mad splattering paint everywhere. HAHA, I DUG THIS GAME!!

I couldn't get enough! For the next few years during my Sophomore and Junior development, I lived on EBay and the old OKairsoft forum. I went from chest rigs to plate carriers back to chest rigs and so on. OD, TAN, MULTICAM I need them all. I picked up on different things from the different airsofters in the community. Smoker an old dog player, wore a OD CIRAS and I just had to have one like it. I later sold the CIRAS to Queball in Arkansas. Now it was Invasion 2007 time. I could not believe that there where this many people willing to drive thousands of miles to this AO and do what we do. WOW, I am a LIFER!
I was so tired that day as I packed in so much gear, tools, ammo, food and water…The whole game…well you get the point. I was still such a NOOB! Right after that I realized its best to be high speed low drag not have and carry too much crap, be over weight and dead slow. I watched the community change, people came and people went, things go up things go down. The Old forum went down and I lost connection with the Out door play so ended up playing a lot of CQB. One day I got wind of Operation Beauty Queen, so I called Claymore. He found a spot for me, a good spot not knowing that this would be a start to a good friendship. BQ was a blast I had the best job of anyone out there. My 69 Jeepster Commando was used that day and it was very popular to the guys with tired feet. This game was such a success and showed that you could plan something different, that no one had played before and it be a raging success.

Claymore and I first teamed up on Operation Uprising. We did some out of the box thinking and came up with some good ideas. We work well together, it seems that one of us was always thinking of an idea to try and the other one was already one step ahead or right there with that line of thinking. We just throw an idea out there and we work that idea, work it into submission. We like the free flow thinking of let the players determine the out come not already decided and planned. This results in two things; the players have to use the old noodle to figure out how to get the job done and adapt to the mission at hand. This keeps us on our toes making sure everything works as the player changes and adapts. It so far has proved to be a great system of Planning, Executing and Admining a successful game.

Now, years later, in my Senior era, I have a good friend to plan, game and run with while having lots of fun. I have traveled all over the country, playing and slaying many bodies as RTT CQB Man would say. I am a believer in; don’t just talk about it, DO IT. We have proven to do what we say. I lived a great deal of my life with the mind set of do it for a story to tell (just ask Skitch). You don't want to grow old and tell you grandkids that your life sucked. So when people were talking about doing this and doing that I wanted to actually do it. Airsoft has been a great story in my life and I plan on it being a story for a long time. Now that Claymore and I have moved to the level of MilSim, it has raised the bar for most we encounter. It also seems that doors keep opening up for us all the time. We keep making lots of new friends from all over, connecting to the “right” people in this sport. Now you never know what we do next, you never guess what we might come up with…
